The Role
The North West Clinical Assessment and Treatment Service is a mobile service operating across Greater Manchester from a variety of mobile and static locations. The post holder will provide a general nursing contribution to the North West CATS Service and will be a member of a community based, multi-disciplinary team. The service provides assessment of patients, carrying out relevant diagnostics, arranging treatment, follow-up, onward referral where appropriate and offering lifestyle advice.

What we are looking for
The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background and will be responsible to offer and deliver the best healthcare to all patients you interact with. You must have good interpersonal skills as you will be dealing with a wide range of patients from a number of different backgrounds.

Key Responsibilities
 To support the unit sister in the day to day operational management of the service and support the clinicians and patients referred to the service.
 To assume responsibility for development, implementation and evaluation of patient care and standards ensuring the most appropriate clinical pathway is followed based on the patients individual requirements.
 To take responsibility for the nurse treatment clinic when rostered to do so.
 To support patients in the onward referral process to other health care professionals or agencies where appropriate.
 To be responsible for providing patients and carers with up to date information regarding their condition.
 To participate in the ongoing training and development of other staff members.
 To mentor student nurses and be involved in their clinical supervision as appropriate.
 To develop and participate in clinical audit.

Skills and Experience Required
 NMC registered.
 Demonstrate knowledge of principles and philosophy of Clinical Governance.
 Working knowledge of Health and Safety
 Ability to respond to situations and act on own initiative.
 Evidence of continued professional development.
