Job Title: Clinical Nurse Trainer ( Professional Development Manager )

Reports To: Clinical Excellence Manager (CEM)
To deliver consistent current evidence based training and development across the national nurse team. Providing clinical excellence in line with the needs of the business, current local and national guidelines, NMC code of conduct and continued professional development.
Assess, plan and implement consistent current evidence based training and development to ensure safe clinical practice for the national nurse team, aligning with customer agreed protocols, guidelines, NMC code of conduct and revalidation
Support continuous improvement initiatives across training and development, making suggestions for growth and improvements in order to improve compliance, efficiency and current evidence based practice.
Act as the ongoing central point of contact for training and development requirements across all directorates to ensure consistent high levels of customer satisfaction and patient safety.
Act as a professional resource and mentor across all directorates in order to maintain a seamless out of hour’s advice line and nursing service.
Provide accurate training and development resource and reports for internal and external customers in line with KPI’s and current Business requirements
Encourage personal and professional development in line with business, NMC code of conduct and registration requirements.
Understand the wider business to assist in the implementation of training as required for new initiatives or products to internal, external customers and the national nurse team.
Performance will be measured through the following formats:
- One to one meetings
- Annual Performance Review
Experience & Qualifications
Registered Nurse Level 1 with significant specialised nursing experience preferably with parental nutrition and or community experience.
Teaching and Assessing qualification is preferable with evidence of use within the last 2 years
Further qualifications in training and development would be considered
