The out of hours period is defined as weekday evenings from 18.00 through to 08.00 next day, and 24/7 across weekends and bank holidays.

This is an exciting time at SELDOC, we are seeking to recruit new Advanced Clinical Practitioners to support the provision of high-quality patient care across the South London Region out of hours out of hours service.

Our ethos is to provide high quality care to patients and we work to a robust clinical governance framework that provides our commissioners, patients and colleagues with assurance about the services.

As an Advanced Clinical Practitioner, you will be responsible for the assessment of health and clinical needs of the patient. To undertake consultations with patients as an autonomous practitioner using advanced clinical practice skills, own clinical judgement to diagnose, treat, refer or discharge patients.

You will be an experienced practitioner who, acting within their professional boundaries, will provide care for the presenting patient from initial history taking, clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment and evaluation of care. They will demonstrate safe, clinical decision-making and expert care, including assessment and diagnostic skills, for patients within the general practice.

Key Criteria:

We are particularly keen to hear from individuals who have:

  • Be a qualified ACP with a valid registration with a professional body.
  • Have undertaken an MSc (Advanced Clinical Practice).
  • Have post registration experience of working in either; A&E, Primary Care.
  • Competency to manage all age ranges including small children.
  • Competency to manage mental health complaints.
  • Being able to demonstrates advanced problem solving and decision-making skills supported by the use of evidence based and/or best practice.
  • Pro-active and passionate about delivering quality care to patients.
  • Have basic IT skills

Most importantly, we are looking for individuals who have a passion for delivering a great service to patients, providing independent advice and the ability to effectively challenge and support the organisations ambitions.
